As part of the Mgeni experience, Theresia Kyalo proudly collaborates with Greenthing to present a special collection of bespoke utensils for our guests. This collaboration is rooted in ethnographic study, exploring memory, identity, and storytelling through objects. One highlight of the collection is our whimsical glassware, intentionally shaped to resemble the ogres we grew up reading about in childhood tales—bold, slightly awkward, yet full of character. These pieces are part of a larger themed collection that reimagines folklore through form and function, offering guests a playful yet profound connection to cultural narratives and childhood wonder.
